Ambedkar
A prominent Dalit leader who advocated for social equality and the abolition of the caste system in India.

A cultural and political movement in China in 1919 that protested against colonialism and advocated for modernization.
Kemal Ataturk
The founder of modern Turkey who implemented a series of reforms to secularize and nationalize the state.
The Muslim Brotherhood

A political system characterized by free elections, civil liberties, and government accountability, which was often challenged during the 20th century.
Authoritarianism
A political system in which a single leader or party holds significant power, often suppressing dissent and mobilizing the masses for national interests.

Disparities in access to resources and political power among colonized peoples that fueled anti-colonial movements.
