The CAC will state
an approximation of the assumption - typically in vague or general terms
Matching Language
The CAC can be slightly broader or stronger than the assumption or weaker, they create CACs that have similar strength
The CAC will present and ENTIRE (LLF)
argument with the same flaw assumption as the main argument
Before heading to the ACs (LLF)
EVID-CONC relationship
determine the distinctive elements needed to recreate the flaw from the main argument
In the ACs (LLF)
Look for language that provides a conceptual match to the distinctive elemants
Start big and shallow
Then examine the flow of the ACs left and if they match that of the argument
Same Subject Trap (LLF)
The TMs create WACs that tempt the average students by simply using the same topic that is in the argument
these are wrong 99% of the time
Symbolization (LLF)
Almost half of LLF arguments are symbolizable
Understanding the flaw itself is less important in these its rather does the CAC have the same symbolic structure as the argument
