Rolling friction
The opposing force of friction experienced when a body (such as a heavy spherical ball, ring, or cylinder) rolls over a surface.
Rolling friction magnitude
For an object of the same weight, the force that is much smaller than static or sliding friction, even by 2 or 3 orders of magnitude.
Methods to reduce friction
Techniques used to decrease frictional resistance between contacting surfaces, specifically polishing, using ball bearings, and applying lubricants.
Fluid
A collection of molecules held together by weak cohesive forces and the forces exerted by the walls of a container, encompassing both liquids and gases that can flow and exert force on container walls.
Drag force
The retarding force experienced by an object moving through a fluid that tends to reduce the speed of the object, resulting from fluid friction.
