Pseudostratified Columnar
Epithelial tissue; found in nasal cavity, trachea, and bronchi

Transitional
Epithelial tissue; Lining the organs of the urinary system

Hyaline Cartilage
Connective tissue; lines the ends of bones in joints, connects ribs to sternum, supports respiratory tract

Simple Columnar
Epithelial tissue; lining the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract (ciliated forms help move mucus in the lower and upper respiratory passages), and reproductive tract (lines the fallopian tubes, uterus, and central canal of spinal cord)

Stratified Columnar
Epithelial tissue; conjunctiva, male urethra, anus, salivary glands. Provides protection and aids in secretion of fluids/mucus

Elastic Connective Tissue
found in body structures that need to stretch and turn to their original shape; large arteries, respiratory tract, spine and ligaments, walls of bladder and vocal cords

Simple Cuboidal
Performs secretion, absorption, and filtration; kidneys, glands, reproductive system, eyes, respiratory system

Bone tissue
rigid framework for muscles and shields delicate organs

Neurons
carry input signals from sensory organs to the central nervous system

Reticular tissue
loose connective tissue made of a delicate, branching network of collagen fibers and reticular cells. Tissue repair, immune defense, structural support. Found in lymph nodes, spleen, tonsils, red bone marrow where blood cells form, liver, and kidneys

Adipose
body fat; energy storage, insulation and cushioning, hormone production

Stratified Squamous
Found in outer skin, mouth, esophagus, vagina. lines these things to keep them safe from daily wear and tear
