Complementary Angles
Two angles whose measures add up to 90∘.
Supplementary Angles
Two angles whose measures add up to 180∘.
Right Angle
An angle that measures exactly 90∘.
Obtuse Angle
An angle greater than 90∘ but less than 180∘.
Straight Angle
An angle that measures exactly 180∘.
Full Rotation
An angle or turn that measures exactly 360∘.
Reflex Angle
An angle that measures more than 180∘.
Corresponding Angles
Angles located in matching corner positions when two parallel lines are cut by a transversal; they are equal only when the lines are parallel.
Alternate Interior Angles
Angles formed by a transversal on parallel lines that lie between the parallel lines on alternate sides; they are always equal.
Alternate Exterior Angles
Angles that lie on opposite sides of the transversal, outside the parallel lines; they are equal.
Vertically Opposite Angles
Angles directly opposite one another when two lines intersect or cross; they are always equal.
Co-interior Angles (Allied Angles)
Angles on the same side of a transversal, between two parallel lines; they are always supplementary.
