Sagittal Plane
A vertical body plane that divides the body into left and right parts.
Coronal Plane
A vertical body plane that divides the body into anterior (front) and posterior (back) portions.
Transverse Plane
A horizontal body plane that divides the body into upper (superior) and lower (inferior) portions.
