The branch of philosophy that studies knowledge, essentially asking "how do we know what we know?". Studies the nature, origin, scope, and limits of human knowledge

The branch of philosophy that studies moral principles, investigating what is right, wrong, good, and bad in human conduct

Myth/Story: The cultural stories of the Greeks. No connotation of exaggeration
Philosophia
Philosophy: Someone who loves wisdom, wisdom’s lover
Sophia
Wisdom; skill; cleverness
Idea
Form; shape; “look” of something (“look” of justice, etc)
Techne
Skill/craft knowledge; expertise in specific field
Polis
City-state

Soul; mind; counsciousness
Eudaimonia
Happiness; to live well, have the good life (not exactly translated to happiness)
Telos
End/purpose; goal (ex. the telos of sculpting is to produce a good sculpture)
