Aim
determine the dynamic viscosity coefficient of a viscous liquid using the falling sphere method based on Stokes' law.
Apparatus
Principle
three forces act on it: gravity downward, buoyancy upward, and viscous drag upward.
Initially, the sphere accelerates. It eventually reaches a constant terminal velocity when the forces are balanced.
