Arithmetic Sequence
A sequence that has a common difference, d.
nth Term of an Arithmetic Sequence
Formula given by Tn=a+(n−1)d, where a is the first term and d is the common difference.
Algebraic Fraction Denominator Rule
A denominator cannot equal zero.
Sum of Interior Angles of a Polygon
Calculated using the formula (n−2)×180∘, where n is the number of sides.
Exterior Angle of a Regular Polygon
Calculated as n360∘, where n is the number of sides.
Interior and Exterior Angle Relation
Interior angle+Exterior angle=180∘.
Circumference of a Circle
Calculated using 2πr=πd.
Area of a Circle
Calculated using the formula Area=πr2.
Volume of a Prism
Calculated as cross-sectional area×length.
Volume of a Cylinder
Calculated using the formula Volume=πr2h.
Midpoint Formula
Given by (2x1+x2,2y1+y2).
Distance Formula
Calculated as (x2−x1)2+(y2−y1)2.
Speed Formula
Calculated as Speed=timedistance.
Average Speed Formula
Calculated as Average speed=total timetotal distance.
Acceleration Formula
Calculated as Acceleration=timefinal speed−initial speed.
Gradient of a Straight Line (m)
Calculated as m=horizontal changevertical change=x2−x1y2−y1.
Gradient Behavior
Positive m rises, negative m falls, and a horizontal line has m=0.
Isometric Transformations
Transformations including translation, reflection, and rotation where shape and size remain identical so the image is congruent to the object.
Mean
The measure of central tendency calculated as number of valuessum of data.
Median
The middle value after arranging the data.
Mode
The most frequent value in a data set.
Probability of Event A (P(A))
Calculated as P(A)=total outcomesnumber of favourable outcomes.
Probability Range
Satisfies 0≤P(A)≤1, where impossible =0 and certain =1.
Probability of Complementary Event (P(not A))
Calculated using the formula P(not A)=1−P(A).
