Human Oocyte
The egg cell, which is the largest single cell in the human body, having a diameter of 120 LORD.
Extended Cells
Cells that are elongated in structure, including muscle cells and nerve cells.
Red blood cells
Cells characterized by flattened disc-like shapes.
Nerve cells
Irregular (nevans) cells that form complex networks to carry electrical signals.
Cuboidal Cells
Cube-shaped cells equal in height and width, found in kidney tubule cells, that function to absorb and secrete.
Columnar Cells
Column-shaped cells that are taller than they are wider, located in intestinal lining cells and the digestive area/stomach.
Spherical Cells
Uniform, round-shaped cells that include cartilage cells (chrondrocytes) and egg cells.
Chrondrocytes
Cartilage cells (bones) that are classified as spherical cells.
Cylindrical Cells
Elongated tube-like cells, such as skeletal muscle cells, that align side by side into muscle fibers to produce mechanical force.
Skeletal muscle cells
Cylindrical cells that align side by side into muscle fibers and produce mechanical force.
