Abundance of elements

Density

Materials Engineering Tetrahedron
A framework demonstrating the interrelation between material properties, processing, structure, and performance.
Mechanical Properties
Attributes of materials that define their behavior under load, including strength, hardness, and elasticity.
Thermal Conductivity
The ability of a material to conduct heat.
Corrosion Resistance
A property that indicates a material's ability to withstand degradation from environmental exposure.
Relative Abundance
The comparative amount of chemical elements in a specified system, often measured in percentage or parts per million.
Material Selection Methodology
The process of selecting materials based on design requirements and material properties.
Young's Modulus
A measure of the stiffness of a solid material, defined as the ratio of stress to strain.
Eutectic Composition
The specific composition of an alloy that has the lowest melting point.
Composite Materials
