ACTIVE VOICE
A sentence structure in which the subject performs the action of the verb, rather than receiving it. For example, in "The cat chased the mouse," the cat (subject) is actively doing the chasing.
PASSIVE VOICE
A sentence structure where the subject receives the action of the verb, typically formed with a form of "to be" and the past participle. For instance, in "The mouse was chased by the cat," the mouse (subject) is the receiver of the action.

a sentence that has a independent clause and a finite verb
compund sentence
a sentence that has an 2 or more independent clauses that are joined together using a coordinating conjunction
complex sentence
its a combination of the 2 types of sentences simple and complex sentences
complex compound sentence
its a sentence that contains one or more independent clause joined by a coordinating conjnction as well as dependent clauses
