How does filter paper work?

Only the liquid will pass through the filter paper because the holes of the filter paper are too small for the solid particles

Step 1

In a beaker measure 25m3 of sulfuric acid using a measuring cylinder and pour.

Using a spatula add magnesium carbonate until it stops dissolvong

step 3

Set up filtration and filter the solution

Step 4

pour the solution into an evaporating dish

Step 5

heat solution until water evaporates and you reach crystallization point, crystals start to form.

Step 6

leave to cool down and dry in oven or between filter paper
