Contact Lenses Policy
Remove contact lenses and wear safety goggles when instructed to do so.

Study the laboratory investigation before coming to lab and ask the teacher if in doubt.

Know how to use safety equipment and the location of fire extinguisher, eyewash station, safety shower, and safety blanket.
Behavior in Laboratory
Refrain from pushing, shoving, or horseplay in the laboratory.
Backpack Policy
Stow my backpack away from the aisles and bring only necessary materials into the laboratory.
Fire Response
In case of fire, alert the teacher and leave the laboratory.
Ignition Source Check
Carefully check for ignition sources before using flammable materials like alcohol or acetone.
Glass Breakage Protocol
Notify the teacher if glass is broken; do not attempt to pick it up myself.
Incident Reporting
Report any incident, accident, injury, or unsafe procedure to the teacher immediately.
Substance Handling Policy
Never taste, touch, or smell any substance unless directed by the teacher.
Chemical Handling Precaution
Handle chemicals carefully; check labels before removing contents and never return unused chemicals.
Heating Test Tubes Safety
When heating a substance in a test tube, point the mouth away from people and myself.
Handling Hot Glassware
Use proper equipment to handle hot glassware.
Personal Safety Gear
Tie back long hair, remove jewelry and hats, and wear closed-toe shoes.
End of Lab Procedure
At the end of the lab, clean the work area and wash and store materials.
Hand Hygiene
Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before leaving the laboratory.
