La amplifciación

Maintains the original concept and clarifies the meaning of the concept

Construcciones disyuntivas, Aposicion, Oraciones subordinadas, Notas

Construcciones disyuntivas

Defines or explains the cultural concept, uses "o/or"

Ex. The festival of San Fermin, or the Running of the Bulls, starts on July 7th

Aposicion

Uses comas (,) parentheses (), or lines (-..-)

Ex. Boxing day, el dia despues de la Navidad, es un dia de fiesta en el Reino Unido.

Oraciones subordinadas

Start with subordinating conjunctions (for, as, since, therefore, due to, etc) words that link the dependent clause to the independent clause

Ex. When we went to Mexico, we went for a walk around Polanco, the neighborhood where the wealthy live.

Neutralizacion (aka Generalization)

Losing cultural elements are lost and replaced by neutral cultural elements that don't have a connection

Ex. Me pasas al Tapatio?... Could you pass me the hot sauce?

Transplantacion Cultural

Eliminates the original elements and switches it out for element similar to the elements meta

Ex. No pagaria por eso ni un peso!.. I wouldn't pay a dime for that.
