Treasury Single Account System (TSA)
An IT-based software system that manages the financial transactions of all government offices in a district through single accounts under the District Treasury Controller Office (DTCO).
DTCO (को.ले.नि.का.)
District Treasury Controller Office (कोष तथा लेखा नियन्त्रक कार्यालय), the entity in whose name the Treasury Single Account (TSA) accounts are maintained.
TSA Nepal Government Decision Date
B.S. 2065/10/15 (वि.सं. २०६५/१०/१५), the date on which the Nepal Government made the decision to replace the multi-account system with TSA.
TSA Pilot Testing
Implemented as a pilot project starting in B.S. 2066 (वि.सं. २०६६) in selected government offices of Bhaktapur and Lalitpur.
TSA Nationwide Rollout
Implemented across the entire country starting from Fiscal Year 2070/71 (आ. व. २०७०/७१).
Multi-Account System (बहुखाता प्रणाली)
The traditional financial system where each government office maintained separate accounts for expenditure (खर्च), revenue (राजस्व), and deposit (धरौटी).
