It is a set of values and behaviors that embody respect for the right to life, respect for human beings and their rights, while rejecting violence in all its forms, and adhering to the principles of democracy and justice

Principles of Culture of Peace:

Fields of application of the culture of peace:

-Political Field.

-Social Field.

Political Field

Full respect for the sovereignty and independence of states, and non-interference in their internal affairs, while guaranteeing human rights and freedoms

Social Field

The cooperation of members of society to achieve common goals and interest.

Benefits and Gains of Culture of Peace:

1. People enjoy prosperity, security and stability

2. Building nations and developing institutions

3. Increasing local and global production in various fields

Efforts of the State of Qatar in Spreading Culture of Peace:

-Establish national institutions concerned with spreading the culture of peace, acceptance of others, combating extremism, and renouncing violence at the national, regional and international levels. Among these institutions: the “Doha International Center” in Copenhagen, Denmark, which aims to suport international efforts to promote peaceful coexistence between religions.

-It also paid great attentionto the education sector as one of the most important means of building fortresses oe peace in the minds of future generations. In view of the important rule of sport in promoting the values of tolerance, cooperation, and peace, the State of Qatar was one of the sponsors of the draft General Assembly resolution on “Using sport to enable development and peace”.

Means of Spreading Culture of Peace:

-Empowering young people and enhancing their creative talents

-Strengthening social solidarity

-Protecting human rights

-Consolidating the principles of democracy

Civilizations Dialogue

The peoples of the world with different cultures, races or religions share their opinions and problems and determine the solutions to these problems so that they have the ability to become acquainted, communicate, eliminate the conflicts and positively interact in a civilized manner among the peoples.

Religious Dialogue

Aims to reduce the gap that is resulted from the different viewpoints of the religions in a number of issues

Political Dialogue

Aims to unify the stances towards in the important international issues and find the just solutions without resorting to violence

Aims to reinforce the concepts of cooperation and participation in the international projects and support economic cooperation among different people

Culture Dialogue

Aims to share the opinion and information in the various aspects of life regardless of the religion of race.

Role of Qatar in spreading culture of the Dialogue among civilizations

Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations was established in 2010 and aims to reinforce the role of the State of Qatar un highlighting the contribution of Islamic civilizations, emphasizing the values of tolerance, solidarity and peace and sharing the experiences and benefits among people based on the values of truth, justice and equality.

Stopping the deterioration in the relations between the different poles that is resulted from the lack of respect for the opinion and another opinion.

Stopping the severe collapse of human rights practices and violations against humanity.
