What should we do to prevent identity theft?
Use secure passwords, check social media privacy settings, avoid phishing emails, avoid public Wi-Fi, regularly check bank statements, always use secure websites, and update security software.

It involves appropriating a person's identity to impersonate them and obtain resources or benefits in their name.
