Load (Lot) Control

Cavitation
The process in an ultrasonic cleaner where sound waves create tiny bubbles that implode and help remove soil from instruments.
Leak Test

Bowie-Dick Test
A test run daily to validate the vacuum function of the sterilizer test should be run in an empty load and at the same time each day
Physical Monitor
include time , temperature and pressure records displays ,digital printouts and gauges during and at the end of the cycle and before items are removed from the sterilizer the operator should review the monitor to ensure all cycle parameters were met.
Cart Washer
must be monitored to ensure they are working properly and floor screens should be checked at least daily to ensure they are free of debris.check rotating arms or cables to make certain they are operating as intended by the manufacturer
Positive BI
A biological indicator that shows microbial growth, meaning the sterilization process may have failed.
