What should you do before a client to tune in?
You should be self-aware of the biases you hold, and the feelings you are in the moment before going in, then imagining what the client could be experiencing coming in which is a preemptive empathy, then ground yourself, breathe, regulate so you can show up
What should you do during a session to tune in?
Have attentive body language, actively listen, and show that to the client, respond with warmth, and have an emotional presence, being culturally aware of the client, and then verbally having behaviors that help
