Electron Spin
A property created by electrons moving in a clockwise or counterclockwise rotation as they rotate, generating a magnetic field that is neutralized in electron pairs.

Magnetic Moment
A nuclear magnetic dipole created when the proton in the hydrogen nucleus spins on its axis, forming the basis of MRI.
Dipolar
Refers to a molecule with areas of opposing electric charge that always has a north and south pole, with lines that do not start and stop like those of an electric field.
Magnetic Dipole
The small magnet created by the orbit of an electron.
Odd Number of Electrons in any Shell
A condition in atoms where the magnetic field from electron spin is not fully neutralized, causing the atom to exhibit a very small magnetic field.
