What are lymphatics function?
they pick up extra fluid left over from capillary exchange and return in to the venous blood.
How could lymphatics be responsible for the spread of diseases in our bodies.
Lymphatics can pick up pathogens and cancer cells allowing them to spread system wide.
What is a lymph node and what is its function?
contain immune cells such as natural killer cells that will attack anything coming through the lymph that does not have the correct antigen
What are non-specific barriers of defense within our body?
skin
sweat and skin oils
salivia

What are inate immune responses?
use phagocytes that eat anything that is found to be foriegn in the body
