Values known to self
Personal principles or beliefs that an individual strongly identifies with.
Values known to others
Principles or beliefs that are evident to both the individual and those around them.
Values hardly known
Deeply held values that influence decisions but are not immediately apparent to others.
Values recognized by others
Principles that are clearly evident and acknowledged by people around the individual.
Self-development
The continuous process of improving oneself through skill acquisition, knowledge expansion, and personal growth.
Self-concept
The perception and understanding an individual has of themselves, shaped by beliefs and feelings.
Self-esteem
The value and worth a person places on themselves.
Self-image
How a person perceives themselves.
Ideal self
The version of oneself that a person aspires to be.
Actual self
The current state of a person's self.
Social identity
How one perceives their place and status in various groups and society.
Personal identity
Unique characteristics and personal history of an individual.
Self-efficacy
Belief in one's ability to succeed in specific situations or tasks.
Know Thyself
Encouragement to understand one's nature, strengths, weaknesses, and motivations.
Self-reflection
Contemplation about life choices and values.
Authenticity
Living true to oneself.
Inner peace
A state that leads to contentment and fulfillment.
Self-knowledge
Understanding one's character, feelings, desires, and behaviors.
ID
The primitive part of personality that is the source of psychic energy.
EGO
The rational, conscious part of personality that helps control impulses and navigate social demands.
Superego
The moral component of personality that internalizes societal and parental standards of right and wrong.
Emotional regulation
The superego's role in generating guilt or pride based on adherence to moral codes.
