A person with an online identity who is part of a digital community, possessing rights and responsibilities aimed at protecting themselves and others online.
Digital Citizenship
The ability of a digital citizen to positively and critically engage in the digital environment by participating effectively with respect for human rights and dignity through responsible technology use.
Digital Self
The persona used whenever an individual is online, which forms their online identity.
Digital Footprint
The record of all actions, visited sites, searched terms, and tools used online.
May Respeto (Respectful)
A trait of a digital citizen who lives out the Golden Rule, treats others with respect, and gives proper credit to original creators of information, videos, and images.
Kritikal Mag-isip (Critical Thinker)
A trait of a digital citizen who carefully analyzes information seen, read, and heard on social media and the internet.
Responsable (Responsible)
A trait of a digital citizen who uses the internet and social media for meaningful purposes such as self-improvement and education.
Maingat (Cautious)
A trait of examining oneself before acting and being careful with what is shared on social media to protect oneself and others.
Mapanagutan (Accountable)
A trait of being ready to face and fulfill one's duties as a digital citizen.
Aktibo (Active)
A trait of actively participating in social issues and using freedom of expression to help resolve them.
