Fitness
The ability to meet or cope with the demands of the environment.
Ill health
Can lower fitness; might not affect a person if well enough to train.
Increase in fitness
Less likely to contract certain illnesses, may feel happier, may have increased social wellbeing.
Over training
Tired, more likely to get ill.
Physical health benefits of exercise
Improve heart function, improve body system efficiency (e.g., lungs), reduce risk of illness, avoid obesity.
Mental health benefits of exercise
Reduce stress, control emotions, release helpful hormones.
