Arduino
a microcontroller that is the brain of your project

the code that tells the Arduino if one of it's pins has an input or output component

digitalWrite()
the code that turns a pin on or off

Digital Pins
these can only be in two mode. HIGH or LOW

digitalRead()
the code that reads the value of a digital pin

Analog Pins
these can be a value of anywhere between 0 and 1023

analogRead()
reads the value from an analog pin

the code that tells the microcontroller to use a whole number

a piece of code that can either be TRUE or FALSE
