Trinity
Father, Son, Holy Spirit; 3 Persons, mystery.
Divine Revelation
Gift accomplished by Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; mystery of His divine plan, passion, death, resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ.
Salvation History
Events in human history where God clearly revealed His presence and saving action, recurring through the Old Testament.
Magisterium
Church's living teaching office, which consists of all bishops in communion with the Pope and Bishop of Rome.
Theophany
God's manifestation of Himself in a visible form to enrich human understanding of Him.
Covenant
An agreement between humans or between God and a human in which mutual commitments are made.
Sacred Tradition
Process of passing on God's message, interpreted by the Magisterium under the Holy Spirit's guidance.
Dogma
Teachings recognized central to the Church, defined by the Magisterium and considered definitive and authoritative.
Apostolic Succession
Uninterrupted passing on of apostolic preaching and authority from apostles directly to all bishops, accomplished with the laying on of hands during Bishop Holy Orders.

deposit of faith
heritage of faith in sacred scripture and tradition passed on from time of apostoles
prophet
choosing by god to proclaim salvation
patriarch
father or leader of the tribe plan or tradition
