Kinematics
The form, pattern, or sequencing of movement with respect to space and time, which can be described qualitatively or quantitatively.
Linear Displacement
The change in location or position of an object, calculated as final position minus initial position (x2−x1). It is a vector quantity measured in units such as cm, m, or km.
Linear Distance
The total path length covered by a moving object. It is a scalar quantity measured in units such as cm, m, or km.
Linear Velocity
The rate of change in position over time, calculated as displacement divided by time (v=td). It is the vector equivalent of linear speed and is measured in units of m/s.
Linear Acceleration
The rate of change in linear velocity over time, expressed as a=tv2−v1. It is measured in units of m/s2 and can be positive or negative.
Instantaneous Velocity
The velocity of an object at a specific point in time
