Dress
Alignment to where each individual is abreast one another.
Cover
Alignment to where each individual is in line with the person in front of them.
Interval
Space between elements (Arm length for normal interval, 4 inches for close interval).
Distance
Space between ranks (40 Inches).
Detail
A formation comprised of 2 to 4 cadets, where the tallest cadet is the detail commander and is always in the rear right.
Mission Command
A philosophy of leadership that empowers Airmen to operate in uncertain, complex, and rapidly changing environments through trust, shared awareness, and understanding of commander's intent.
Command
The authority that a commander in the armed forces lawfully exercises over subordinates by virtue of rank or assignment.
Control
The authority that may be less than full command exercised by a commander over part of the activities of subordinate or other organizations.
C2 (Command & Control)
The exercise of authority and direction by a properly designated commander over assigned and attached forces in the accomplishment of the mission.
Centralized Command
Gives the commander the responsibility and authority for planning, directing, and coordinating a military operation, best accomplished by an Airman at the functional component commander level who maintains a broad focus on the joint force commander's (JFC's) objectives.
Distributed Control
Enables commanders to delegate authorities for planning, coordination, execution, and assessment activities to dispersed locations to achieve an effective span of control and maintain the initiative, particularly in contested environments.
Decentralized Execution
Commanders empowering subordinate decision-making to enable flexibility, initiative, and responsiveness in mission accomplishment.
ACE (Agile Combat Employment)
A scheme of maneuver executed within threat timelines to increase survivability while generating combat power.

Five Cs of Command
Character, Competence, Capability, Cohesion, and Capacity.
Levels of Warfare
Strategic, Operational, and Tactical.
Global Vigilance
The ability to gain and maintain awareness anywhere; to provide warning and to determine intent, opportunity, capability, or vulnerability.
Global Reach
The ability to project military capability responsively—with unsurpassed velocity and precision—anywhere, and provide rapid mobility.
Airpower
The ability to project military power through control and exploitation in, from, and through the air.
Mobility Foundation of Airpower
The ability of airpower to respond rapidly to crises anywhere in the world with flexible options that contribute to global influence and stability, and communicate US capabilities and resolve to worldwide audiences.
