Evaporation - 1
Water from oceans and water sources are evaporated into vapours from heat energy from the sun
Transpiration - 2
The evaporation of water from plants through stomata - this is a passive process controlled by humidity of atmosphere and moisture content of soil
Condensation - 3
As water vaporises it rises into the atmosphere and high altitudes changes it into ice and water droplets due to the low temperature - this causes clouds in the sky
Precipitation - 4
Tiny condensation particles collide and become too large for the rising air to support so it falls to earth - precipitation can happen in the form of rain, hail, snow or sleet
Runoff - 5
When there is excessive precipitation and the ground is saturated water runs over earths surfaces, it can displace soil and move minerals and collect in rivers or the ocean - this is the hydrosphere
Infiltration - 6
If the water doesn’t run into bodies of water or get evaporated it will be absorbed by plants and soil which can be driven deeper into the earth
