PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
A type of computer used in industrial automation to control machinery.

Ladder Logic
A programming language used to develop software for programmable logic controllers, based on relay logic.
Momentary Switch
A switch that is activated only while pressed, returning to its original position once released.
Maintained Switch
A switch that remains activated after being pressed until it is pressed again.
Relay
An electrical device used to switch circuits on and off, can be mechanical or solid-state.
DIN Rail
A metal rail used to mount industrial control equipment in racks or cabinets.
Ingress Protection (IP)
A standard that rates the degree of protection provided by enclosures against the intrusion of solid objects and liquids.
Indicator Lamp
A light used on control panels to indicate machine states or conditions to operators.
Variable Frequency Drive
A type of motor controller that drives an electric motor by varying the frequency and voltage of its power supply.
