Vocabulary practice flashcards reviewing properties of polygons, angle pairs, parallel line relationships, and triangle theorems.
rhombus properties
all 4 sides are conrugent, diagonlas are perp, diagonals bisect angles
rectangle properties
4 90 degree angles, diagonals are congruent
parallelogram properites
opposite angles are congruent, opposite sides are parallel, opposite sides are congruent, consectutive angles are supp, diagonals bisect each other
triangle midsegment theorem
the midsegment of a triangle is parallel to a side of the triangle is equal to 1/2 of the side it is.
vertical angles
angles that are across form each other when 2 lines intercect (they share vertex)
same side interior angles
2 angles that lie inside parallel and are on the same side of the transversal
isosceles triangle therom
if 2 sides of a triangles are congruent the angles opposite those sides are congruent
triangle sum therom
the three angles of a triangle always add up to 180
alternate interior angles
2 angles that lie inside parallel lines and are in opposite sides and opposite ends of the transversal
supplementary angles
2 angles that add up to 180
same side extiror angles
angles that lie outside the parallel lines but on the same side of the transversal
complementary angles
2 angles that add up to 90 degrees
alternate extrior angles
2 angles that lie outside parallel lines and are on opposite sides and opposite ends of the transversal
extiror angle therom
the extiror angle of a triangle is equal to the sum of the 2 remote interior angles
corresponding angles
2 angles that occupy the same spot in their respective group of 4 angles when parallel lines are cut by a traversal
linear pair
2 adjacent angles that add up to 180
adjacent angles
2 angles that share a common vertex and a common side
