Constitution
A set of rules and principles that all persons in a country can agree upon as the basis of the way in which they want the country to be governed, laying out certain ideals and defining the fundamental nature of society.
Constituent Assembly
The body convened in December 1946 that drafted a constitution for independent India to shape its destiny after 150 years of British rule.
