Fish Farming in Namibia
Section 3.3 of the Grade 7 Agriculture Guiding Notes, covering types of freshwater and saltwater fish found in Namibia and the external parts of a fish.
Types of Fish Found in Namibia
The freshwater and saltwater fish identified in Topic 3.3.1: Tilapia, Carp, Trout, Gold fish, Tiger fish, Tuna, and Cat fish.
External Parts of the Fish
The anatomical structures to indicate on a diagram: Nostril, Eye, Dorsal Fins, Spiny Rays, Soft Rays, Lateral Line, Mouth, Caudal Fin, Gill Cover, Pectoral Fin, Anal Fin, and Pelvic Fin.
Dorsal Fins
External fins of the fish indicated on the diagram in connection with Spiny Rays and Soft Rays.
Fin Rays
The two varieties of rays listed among the external parts of the fish: Spiny Rays and Soft Rays.
Lateral Line
An external line feature of the fish to identify and indicate on a diagram.
Gill Cover
An external part of the fish to indicate on a diagram, listed alongside the Nostril, Eye, and Mouth.
