Hexadecimal
A base-16 number system used for data representation, where the values 0-9 represent the numbers 0-9 and the values A-F represent the numbers 10-15.
Binary
A base-2 number system used by computers to represent data, consisting of only two digits:0 and 1.
Nibble
A group of 4 bits, equivalent to half a byte.
Byte
A group of 8 bits, the basic unit of storage in computer systems.
Binary to Hexadecimal Conversion
The process of converting a binary number to its equivalent hexadecimal representation by splitting it into groups of 4 bits and converting each group to a hexadecimal digit.
Hexadecimal to Decimal Conversion
The process of converting a hexadecimal number to its equivalent decimal (denary) representation by multiplying each digit by its corresponding place value and summing them together.
