Order of Operations
A set of rules used to determine the order in which calculations are performed; represented by PEMDAS (Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction).
Linear Equation
An equation that models a straight line; can be expressed in the form y = mx + b.
Function Notation
A way to denote functions; typically written as f(x) to indicate a function named f evaluated at x.
Congruence
Shapes that are the same size and shape.
Similarity
Shapes that have the same shape but may differ in size.

Mode
The value that appears most frequently in a data set.
Range
The difference between the highest and lowest values in a data set.
Transformations
Operations that alter the form of a figure, including translations, rotations, reflections, and dilations.
Translation
A transformation that shifts a figure in a straight line from one position to another.
Reflection
A transformation that flips a figure over a line to create a mirror image.
Dilation
A transformation that alters the size of a figure but preserves its shape.
Real-World Applications of Algebra
Application of algebraic principles to solve practical problems encountered in daily life.
Practice Tests
Simulated exams used to prepare for the actual test format and test-taking experience.
Study Schedule
A plan that outlines study sessions to manage studying time effectively.
Khan Academy
An online educational platform that offers practice problems and instructional videos in a variety of subjects.
