Space
Physical gap or interval between 2 objects.
Spatial Distribution
Refers to how features, activities, and human demographic features are widespread arranged over the space of the earth.
Density
Frequency with which something occurs in space; total number of a feature in total land area.
Concentration
Extent of a feature spread over space.
Clustered
Closely spaced together in terms of concentration over space.
Dispersed
Relatively far apart in terms of concentration over space.
Pattern
Geometric or regular arrangement of objects in space, including linear, centralized, or random patterns.
Population Distribution
Arrangement of human settlement; spread of people across earth.
Population Density
How clustered or dispersed a population is.
Physical Factor
Geography of earth, which has an influence on where people live and where they don't.
Ecumene
Inhabited places on earth; mid-latitude places that are not too hot or cold, too high or low, or too wet or dry (where people live).
Human Factor
Historical traits able to overcome environmental obstacles.
Arithmetic Density
Total number of people in total land area (total pop/total land area).
Physiological Density
Number of people in arable, farmable land of a certain area.
Agricultural Density
Number of farmers in arable land of a certain area.
Arable Land
Farmable or farming land.
Carrying Capacity
The population an area can support without significant environmental degradation.
Desertification
Rising desert.
