Content
vocab themes - each unit presents new sets of vocab words
grammar concepts - each unit introduces a new grammar pattern
Presentation of culture through videos
students learn about cultural aspects of a spanish speaking country through video presentations
speaking and writing activities
students complete speaking and writing activities to become familiar with patters of spanish
listening and reading comprehension activites
each unit contains comprehension practices, and challenge students to identify main ideas and details of the excerpts
Assesments: listening and reading comprehension
verify student’s comprehension of main ideas of passages or conversations
culture comprehension quizzes verify the understanding of concepts in culture presentations
unit tests assess mastery of vocab words and grammar concepts. each test includes a reading and questions, and an oral or written assesment
mid terms assess knowledge of the language and ability to produce the language. includes oral and written parts
projects allow students to make comparisons, reinforce new vocab and grammar, and practice communication in the language
being prepared
be prepared with materials, complete and turn in assignments, and be prepared to discuss assignments and things presented in class
attendance
required to have note from teacher if you are late, students have one day for each day absent to turn in work
miss class
students are responsible for getting notes and work from classmates, go to teacher after reviewing materials

5 % lose points daily after deadline, failed grade after one whole cycle

the act of claiming the work as your own without citing the source. examples are copying sentences from articles, copying another students words, submittng purchased work as your own
