A systematic process used by scientists for scientific investigation to understand natural phenomena and make predictions about future events.

The sequential eight-step process: 1. Observe, 2. Question, 3. Hypothesis, 4. Plan, 5. Gather Data, 6. Data Analysis, 7. Conclusion, 8. Communicate.
