Marking Scheme (TALLENTEX Class 8)
The evaluation system where candidates receive +4 for each correct answer and −1 for each wrong answer (negative marking).
Pattern of Questions (Offline Mode)
An examination format comprising 80 objective-type multiple-choice questions with 4 choices (single correct answer) and a duration of 2 hours.
Pattern of Questions (Online Mode)
An examination format comprising 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions with 4 choices (single correct answer) and a duration of 2 hours.
Question Distribution (Offline)
The offline subject breakdown totaling 80 questions: Physics (15), Chemistry (15), Biology (15), Maths (15), and IQ (20).
Question Distribution (Online)
The online subject breakdown totaling 100 questions: Physics (19), Chemistry (18), Biology (19), Maths (19), and IQ (25).
Exam Medium
The authorized test language, which is English Only.
Reporting Duration Rule
The mandatory requirement to be logged in to the portal (online) or seated in the examination hall to fill the OMR (offline) at least 30 minutes before the test.
Physics Syllabus (7th Grade Topics)
The Class 7 physics topics covered in the exam: Measurement of Time and motion; Light: Shadows and Reflections; and Earth, Moon and the Sun.
Physics Syllabus (8th Grade Topics)
The Class 8 physics topics covered in the exam: Electricity: Magnetic and Heating Effects; Exploring Forces; and Pressure, Winds, Storms, and Cyclones.
Chemistry Syllabus (7th Grade Topics)
The Class 7 chemistry topics covered in the exam: Acids, Bases and Salts; and Physical and Chemical Changes.
Chemistry Syllabus (8th Grade Topics)
The Class 8 chemistry topics covered in the exam: Particulate Nature of Matter; and Nature of Matter: Elements, Compounds, and Mixtures.
Biology Syllabus
The life science curriculum encompassing: The Invisible Living World: Beyond Our Naked Eyes, Health: The Ultimate Treasure, Life Processes in Plants, and Life Processes in Animals.
Maths Syllabus (7th Grade Topics)
The Class 7 mathematics curriculum including: Geometric Twins, Operations with Integers, Finding Common Ground, Another Peek Beyond the Point, and Finding the Unknown.
Maths Syllabus (8th Grade Topics)
The Class 8 mathematics curriculum including: A Square and A Cube, Power Play, Quadrilaterals, Number Play, We Distribute, Yet Things Multiply, and Proportional Reasoning-1.
IQ Syllabus
The mental ability topics including Alphabet Test, Blood Relation, Coding-Decoding, Number, Ranking and Time Sequence Test, Counting of Figures, Dice, Cube, Direction Sense, Embedded Figure, Sitting Arrangement, Inserting the Missing Character, Mathematical Operations, Mirror Image, Series (Verbal & Non-Verbal), Venn Diagram, and Water Image.
