Self-Harm Behaviours

Some individuals engage in self-harm to cope with suicidal thoughts.

These behaviours can be suicidal, but the patient describes the majority as non-suicidal acts.

Individuals who engage in self-harm behaviours are at a higher risk of unintentionally dying by suicide (parasuicide); therefore, all acts of self-harm must be taken seriously.
