If $f\left(x\right)=a^2+2$ , where a is a constante and $f\left(1\right)=2.5$ , what is the value of$a=0.5$ a-2?

$$a\left(1\right)^2+2=2.5$$

$$a+2=2.5$$

$$a=0.5$$

$$a-2=0.5-2=-1.5$$

When 4 times a is subtracted from 23 it gives -5. What is the resulting number when a times 9 is added to 8?

$$23-4a=-5$$

$28-4a=0$ → $28=4a$

$a=7$ → $7\cdot9+8=71$

$$4x-7=z\left(x-3\right)+5$$

In the equation above a is a constant. If the equation has infinitely many solutions what is the value of z?
