Carbon Monoxide

Particulate Matter (PM10)

Occurs when NOx and SO2 react with moisture in the atmosphere to form nitric and sulfuric acid.

As it decreases pH levels, it threatens species with different tolerances, leading to population declines.

High acidity can cause aluminum to be released, harming aquatic species.
