What makes research in to CPs hard?

They have low response to gas chromagraphy and they are porely seperated. They exist n complex mixtures with >100,000s different combination, low resolution

SCCPs

Short-Chain CPS, C10-13

Long-chain CPs, C>18

What are CPS

Chemically stable, flame retardant & resistant to degradation, oily-waxy, water repellent & semi volatile

Applications CPs

Lubrication, plasticizer

PFAS

Perfluoroalkyl substances, have fluorbonds and alkyl-groups and a hydrophobic and hydrophylic side, the fluor makes strong bonds with C, partitions are hard to determine

PFAS uses

Lubricant, non-stick coatings, extinguishing foam

Challanges PFAS

Many varieties, measuring equepment contains PFAS, different properties, legislation is for some individual PFAS
