Record average resting pulse as follows.
-locate pulse at wrist with finger
-count the number of beats per minute using stop watch
-repeat twice and calculate the average this will be the control

Record the pulse after exercise as follows
-run on spot for 2 mins , immediately record pulse rate every minute noting the time it takes to return to average resting pulse rate

Control is average resting pulse and used for comparison
Precautions ensure the volunteer doesn’t have asthma and is relaxed for 10 mins before start of experiment
