It is the growth of an economy due to a change in the demographic structure of a country usually decrease of dependacy ratio
When did South Korea have it’s demographic dividend
between 1960 and 1990 → fall in fertility, improvemnet in healthcare and economic industrialization

fertility fell from 5.2 in 1950 to 2.9 in 1975 to 1.2 in 2005
This meant fewer children to take care of: households and government could invest in education, healthcare and investments

In 1960, only 34% of Korean women worked; by the year 2000, 50% of women were working
