Dice
To cut something into small cubes (Core Phrase: "Dice [something] into small cubes").
Slice
To cut food into thin, flat pieces (Core Phrase: "Slice [something] for [something]").
Grate
To shred food into small shreds or pieces, often over a dish (Core Phrase: "Grate [something] over / for [something]").
Peel
To remove the outer skin or rind of a fruit or vegetable (Core Phrase: "Peel [something] before [doing something]").
Mince
To cut or chop food into very small, fine pieces before cooking (Core Phrase: "Mince [something] before [doing something]").
Pour
To transfer liquid from one container into another (Core Phrase: "Pour [liquid] into [container]").
Lid
A removable cover for a container, such as a pot or pan (Core Phrase: "Put a lid on [pot/pan]").
Wipe
To clean a surface by rubbing it with a cloth (Core Phrase: "Wipe [something] clean").
Slip
To slide or insert a body part smoothly into a garment (Core Phrase: "Slip an arm into a sleeve").
Button
To fasten a garment by pushing buttons through holes (Core Phrase: "Button [clothing]").
Zip up
To fasten a piece of clothing using a zipper (Core Phrase: "Put on and zip up").
Roll up
To fold sleeves upward along the arms (Core Phrase: "Roll up your sleeves").
Straighten
To align or adjust an item of clothing so it looks neat (Core Phrase: "Straighten [collar/tie]").
Cuff
The end part of a sleeve that encircles the wrist (Core Phrase: "Button the cuffs").
Tuck
To push the edges of a shirt inside trousers or pants (Core Phrase: "Tuck [shirt] into [pants]").
Tie
To bind, knot, or secure, such as knotting a necktie (Core Phrase: "Tie a tie").
Lace up
To tighten and tie the laces of footwear (Core Phrase: "Lace up your shoes").
Shoelaces
Cords or strings used to fasten shoes (Core Phrase: "Tie / Untie shoelaces").
Wrap

Take out

Hang out
To place wet clothing outside or on a balcony so it dries in the air (Core Phrase: "Hang out to dry").
Fold
To bend and smooth washed garments neatly into compact shapes (Core Phrase: "Fold the laundry").
Put into
To place or store items inside a compartment or furniture (Core Phrase: "Put [something] into drawers").
Iron
To smooth wrinkles from clothing using a heated metal appliance (Core Phrase: "Iron clothes / shirt").
Hang up
To place clothing onto a hanger or hook inside a closet (Core Phrase: "Hang up [clothes]").
Overpass
An elevated bridge that allows pedestrians to cross over a busy street safely (Core Phrase: "Use a pedestrian overpass").
Trip
To catch one's foot on an obstacle and stumble (Core Phrase: "Trip on [something]").
Puddle
A small pool of liquid on the ground, often from rain (Core Phrase: "Step over puddles").
Traffic
Vehicles moving on a roadway (Core Phrase: "Wait for traffic to pass").
Pick up
To take hold of an object with the hand and lift it (Core Phrase: "Pick up [item] and put in [pocket/bag]").
Backpack

Shut

Set down

Upstairs
To or on a higher floor or level of a building (Core Phrase: "Go upstairs").
