Spoofing
Involves impersonating an authorized device or user using fake IPs or MAC addresses.
Hijacking (Man-in-the-Middle)
Involves intercepting and potentially modifying real-time communications between two parties.
Replay Attacks
Intercepting traffic and replaying it later (such as a recorded authentication packet) to bypass security.
Transitive Attacks
Exploiting chain-of-trust relationships (if A trusts B and B trusts C, attacking C to gain access to A).
SYN Flood (DoS Attack)
Exploits the TCP three-way handshake by leaving connections half-open, running the target server out of memory.
Ping of Death & Teardrop (DoS Attack)
Sends malformed or overlapping fragmented packets to cause buffer overflows or crash system reassembly.
Permanent DoS (PDoS)
Replaces a device's legitimate firmware with corrupt code, physically destroying or bricking the device.
Fork Bomb (DoS Attack)
Continuously replicates system processes to exhaust CPU and memory, locking up operating systems completely.
