Step 1: Opening Takbir (Standing)

Raise your hands to your ears and say "Allahu Akbar." Then fold your hands below your navel.

Step 2: Opening Supplication (Standing)

Say "Subhanekellahumme ve bihamdike, ve tebarekesmuke, ve te'ala džedduke, ve la ilahe gajruke." Only at the beginning of the whole prayer.

Step 3: Seeking Refuge (Standing)

Say "E'uzu billahi mineš-šejtanir-radžim." Only before Al-Fatihah in the first rak'ah.

Step 4: Bismillah (Standing)

Say "Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim."

Step 5: Al-Fatihah (Standing)

Recite the full Al-Fatihah, then say "Ameen."

Step 6: Short Surah (Standing)

Recite Al-Ikhlas: "Kul huvallahu ehad. Allahus-samed. Lem jelid ve lem juled. Ve lem jekul-lehu kufuven ehad." In the first two rak'ahs of a fard prayer.

Step 7: Bow (Ruku)

Say "Allahu Akbar" while bowing. Hands on knees. Say "Subhana Rabbijel-Azim" three times.

Step 8: Stand Up From Bowing

While rising say "Semi'allahu limen hamideh." When upright say "Rabbena lekel-hamd."

Step 9: First Prostration (Sujud)

Say "Allahu Akbar" while going down. Forehead and nose on ground. Say "Subhana Rabbijel-E'ala" three times.

Step 10: Sit Between Prostrations

Say "Allahu Akbar" while sitting up. Pause calmly.

Step 11: Second Prostration (Sujud)

Say "Allahu Akbar" while going down. Say "Subhana Rabbijel-E'ala" three times.

Step 12: End of Rak'ah

One rak'ah is complete. Say "Allahu Akbar" as you stand for the next rak'ah, unless it is time for a sitting.

Step 13: Sitting After Rak'ah 2 (Ettehijjatu)

Say "Ettehijjatu lillahi ves-salavatu vet-tajjibatu. Esselamu alejke ejjuhen-nebijju ve rahmetullahi ve berekatuhu. Esselamu alejna ve ala ibadillahis-salihin. Ešhedu en la ilahe illellah, ve ešhedu enne Muhammeden abduhu ve resuluhu." Then stand for rak'ah 3 in a four-rak'ah prayer.

Step 14: Rak'ah 3 and 4 (Standing)

Say "Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim" and recite Al-Fatihah only. Complete the same bowing and prostration movements. Do not add Al-Ikhlas in these rak'ahs of a fard prayer.

Step 15: Final Sitting (Ettehijjatu)

After the final rak'ah's second prostration, remain seated and recite the complete Ettehijjatu again.

Step 16: Final Sitting (Allahumme Salli)

Say "Allahumme salli ala Muhammedin ve ala ali Muhammed. Kema sallejte ala Ibrahime ve ala ali Ibrahim. Inneke hamidum-medžid."

Step 17: Final Sitting (Allahumme Barik)

Say "Allahumme barik ala Muhammedin ve ala ali Muhammed. Kema barekte ala Ibrahime ve ala ali Ibrahim. Inneke hamidum-medžid."

Step 18: Final Sitting (Dua)

Say "Rabbena atina fid-dunja haseneten ve fil-ahireti haseneten ve kina azaben-nar."

Step 19: Finish Prayer (Salam)

Turn your head right and say "Esselamu alejkum ve rahmetullah." Then turn left and repeat "Esselamu alejkum ve rahmetullah."
