Pruritus

Itching of the skin.

Dizziness

A general feeling of lightheadedness, unsteadiness, or feeling faint.

Vertigo

The sensation that you or the room is spinning or moving, even when you are still.

Syncope

A temporary loss of consciousness or fainting, usually from briefly decreased blood flow to the brain.

Tinnitus

Ringing, buzzing, or other sounds in the ears without an outside sound source.

Dysphagia

Difficulty swallowing food or liquids.

Hemoptysis

Coughing up blood or blood-streaked sputum from the respiratory tract.

Palpitations

An uncomfortable awareness of the heartbeat, such as feeling it racing, pounding, fluttering, or skipping beats.

Cyanosis

Bluish discoloration of the skin, lips, or nail beds caused by inadequate oxygenation.

Dyspnea

Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

Orthopnea

Shortness of breath that occurs when lying flat and improves when sitting or standing up.

Paroxysmal Nocturnal Dyspnea (PND)

Episodes of severe shortness of breath that wake a person from sleep, often causing them to sit or stand to breathe better.

Nocturia

Waking up 2 or more times during the night to urinate.

Edema

Swelling caused by excess fluid collecting in body tissues, commonly in the legs or ankles.

Anemia

A condition with too few red blood cells or too little hemoglobin, reducing the blood's ability to carry oxygen.

Mottling

Patchy, irregular skin discoloration, often purple, red, or bluish, related to changes in circulation.

Intermittent Claudication

Leg muscle pain, cramping, or fatigue with activity that improves with rest; common with peripheral artery disease.

Thrombophlebitis

Inflammation of a vein associated with a blood clot.

Jaundice

Yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes.

Flatulence

Excess gas in the GI tract, usually passed through the rectum.

Dysuria

Painful or burning urination.

Oliguria

Decreased urine output; producing an abnormally small amount of urine.

Menarche

A person's first menstrual period.

Amenorrhea

Absence of menstrual periods.

Menorrhagia

Abnormally heavy or prolonged menstrual bleeding.

Dysmenorrhea

Painful menstruation, usually involving menstrual cramps.

Dyspareunia

Pain in the genital or pelvic area during sexual intercourse.

Tic

A sudden, repetitive, involuntary movement or sound, such as blinking or throat clearing.

Tremor

Involuntary rhythmic shaking of a body part, commonly the hands.

Polyuria

Excessive urine production or urination.

Polydipsia

Excessive thirst or drinking unusually large amounts of fluid.

Polyphagia

Excessive hunger or increased appetite.
